The "red bus" is a double-decker with an open top. One route goes from downtown Florence to Fiesole and a second route goes to the other side of the Arno to the Piazzale Michelangelo, where these photos were taken.
The David in the background is a copy, posed in the center of the Piazzale Michelangelo.
