Food in Spain - Winter break 2011-2012

Here is a selection of photos of the food and drink we encountered during our nearly 3 week trip to Spain. The trip started in Madrid, then to Granada, Sevilla, and then finally Barcelona. The first part of the trip included my family from Italy plus my Aunt Sarah who traveled from the US. Once in Barcelona, our group of 5 grew to include Aunt Peggy from Azerbaijan, and from the US, cousins Anton and John, brother & sister-in-law Brian and Rebecca.

Puppets in Piazza Santa Croce

I just happened to have my camera with me one afternoon, last spring, when I caught the puppet show in Piazza Santa Croce. I can't say how long these puppets have been appearing in Santa Croce, but we have been enjoying them since we first saw them almost 6 years ago, not long after we arrived in Florence.
