PS: yes, those are rosemary hedges. The scent in the garden when they trim them is worth the trip here.
PS-2: A prize goes to MOLLI, who named my favorite tree in Madison...it has a similar shape as the one pictured above. It is located in the median strip on South Park Street, just south of where Lakeside Street comes in. It is best seen in Spring or summer.
