April 2007: Florence Horticultural Garden

Yesterday we went to the Giardino Orticultura di Firenze (I think that was the name of the place). There was a flower show, vendors from all over Tuscany selling flowers, plants, seeds and other garden stuff. The garden has an incredible conservatory that is completely empty for soem reason. We could not see a single pane of glass that was broken. Above the main garden is a smaller garden with a dragon fountain made from cemented glass bottles, covered with rock and cement mosaic. The stairs in this part of the park were also done in natural colored rock mosaics.
