We headed to Rome the day after Christmas, for 4 days of wandering around. While there we spent some time with Eric's cousin John Tuthill, who we had also met in Rome the last time we were there.
While in Rome we ate Indian and Chinese food (a welcome change!), rode in the subway, visited at least 10 churches, including one where a mass was being held, at San Giovani in Laterano, saw some wonderful nativity scenes, including one made of 20 different kids of dried pasta, glued together. We finished our stay with a day trip to Ostia Antica to tour a 2000 year old Roman city.
