Another January afternoon

Sunday was another gorgeous day. We made our way down the path just below our house, to play in the water, clearing out the dams built back in the fall. Hopping around the bamboo on the right was a small bird with a red breast and a bluish-grey back. It stayed there the entire time we were there, unimpressed by our splashing and laughing.



Walking down the path a little and then looking back up to where Cyrus and Griffin are hard at work. Our house is up the steep hill to the left.


And then looking downhill, towards Pian di Mugnone. Our "path" appears on many maps as a navigable road. On the right you can see where a section of the wall has collapsed, probably due to heaving over the years. There are sections like this the length of this path and in walls all over Italy.
